As we celebrate our 75th Anniversary in 2026, we do not merely look back at our heritage; we use it as a foundation for the most ambitious era in our company’s history. Our story began in 1951, when Mr Jimmy Fitzpatrick opened the doors of a modest local garage in Kildare Town.

In 1968, the original business was relocated to the Dublin Road in Kildare town, and this remains Fitzpatrick's Garage Kildare's current premises and the Group's head office today. The Group now operates from several locations and has showrooms in Kildare Town, Kildare Village, Naas, Carlow, and Tullamore, and employs over 155 excellent people.

Fitzpatrick’s has consistently grown and invested significantly in all aspects of its motor business throughout its 75 years in business, becoming one of the most advanced and progressive motor groups in Ireland.

Today, our range of exciting brands includes Hyundai, Leapmotor, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Opel and Smart. With over 40 years of association with the Toyota and Lexus brands, Fitzpatrick's continues to offer Toyota service, genuine parts, warranty, and recall services to its customers as Toyota and Lexus Authorised Repairers from its locations in Kildare Town, Naas, Carlow and Tullamore.

While our showrooms may be based beside Dublin in Kildare, Carlow, and Offaly, the reach of Fitzpatrick’s Garage Group stretches across the country to include Galway, Clare, Limerick, and Cork, to name a few.

Our commitment to "The Best or Nothing" has led to significant industry recognition. We are proud three-time National Winners of the SEAI Electric Vehicle Dealership of the Year (2022, 2024, and 2026), a title that reflects our early and aggressive adoption of sustainable mobility. In January 2026, we collected the County Offaly and County Kildare EV Dealership of the Year Award, with the announcement of the national winner made in April at the SEAI Energy Show.

The 2026 County win means our Hyundai Tullamore dealership has now won the award an unprecedented 4 times, a phenomenal achievement, while our County Kildare win sees the award arrive back for the 3rd time in 5 years.

In 2025, we were named the winner of SIMI Bodyshop of the Year, emphasising our commitment to customer care and service. In 2026, Fitzpatrick's won in two categories: Franchise Sales Operation of the Year and Franchise Aftersales Operation of the Year, while our Bodyshop was once again nominated for Bodyshop Operation of the Year. The SIMI awards are the pinnacle of the motor industry awards, and to win such prestigious awards is fantastic recognition for the hard work that the entire team puts in and cements our place as Ireland’s Best Motor Group.
