Fitzpatrick's Garage Naas has been named the National Winner of the ZEVI EV (Electric Vehicles) 2026 Dealership of the Year award at the SEAI Energy Show in the RDS.
It is the third time that Fitzpatrick’s Garages has won the award, having previously won award in 2022 & 2024.
The announcement was made at the SEAI Energy Show at the RDS in Dublin on April 22nd 2026.
Zero Emissions Vehicles Ireland (ZEVI) and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) today announced Fitzpatrick’s Garage Naas as the national winner of the 2026 ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year Award. This annual award, which recognises outstanding effort in encouraging electric vehicle (EV) uptake in Ireland, was announced at a presentation ceremony at the SEAI Energy Show, at the RDS in Dublin.
Out of 24 dealerships selected as county winners, four regional winners were chosen at the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) Awards in February. All four regional winners demonstrated exceptional commitment to EV sales and delivering a best-in-class customer experience.
From this group, Fitzpatrick’s Garage Naas took home the top prize of National ZEVI EV Dealership of the Year for 2026.
A panel of industry experts crowned the national winner based on broad criteria, including EV visibility, salesperson expertise, sales approach, EV-specific training, sales performance, and the quality of each dealership’s online presence.
CEO of Fitzpatrick’s Garages, Sean Lyons commented:
“We are very honoured and delighted to be awarded the 2026 National EV Dealer of the Year again after winning in 2022 and 2024. It is a tremendous accolade and great recognition for our team. This year sees us celebrate 75 years in business and since 1951 our business has always focused on providing great cars, honest advice, and exceptional service. Today as we move away from fossil fuel dependency and enter the new age of electric vehicles, it is vital that motor dealers recognise the part they need to play in advising and assisting motorists on their electric journey. We at Fitzpatrick’s are totally committed to this goal, assisting our customers to make the transition, providing them with electric vehicles that suit their needs and budgets, and ensuring we protect our environment now and for future generations.”
Minister for Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD said:
“Ireland is seeing record levels of electric vehicle sales in 2026, reflecting the growing confidence of consumers in cleaner, more sustainable transport options. The dealership awards recognise the dedication and expertise of car dealers who are supporting customers to make the transition to electric vehicles and helping to accelerate this shift.
This is an exciting time for the sector. As EV sales continue to grow, today’s award winners are setting the benchmark for excellence and demonstrating the skills and leadership that will shape the future of the electric vehicle industry in Ireland.”
CEO of SEAI, William Walsh commented:
"2026 is shaping up to be another bumper year for EVs - sales so far this year are at the highest level ever recorded, with sales over 40% higher than they were for the same period last year. That is remarkable and really highlights the momentum we're seeing on the ground. With the volatility we're seeing internationally reflected at the pumps, there's never been a better time to consider switching away from fossil fuels. Dealerships are crucial to helping people make the right choice for them and it's great to see them recognised here today. Congratulations to Fitzpatrick's Garage Naas, on winning the overall award among a field of really strong candidates."
