Leapmotor Ireland has partnered with Energia and Ohme to offer every new Leapmotor customer a free Ohme ePod smart home charger, including standard installation, when they sign up to an Energia EV Smart electricity tariff. The offer applies to new Leapmotor registrations made between 9th October 2026 and 28th February 2027 and forms a central part of Leapmotor Ireland's 271 offers.
For many Irish drivers considering their first electric vehicle, setting up home charging is one of the last practical questions to answer. With this partnership, Leapmotor customers can drive away with their new car, an EV charger on the wall and a low overnight electricity rate already in place, arranged through their nearest Leapmotor dealer.
Energia's EV Smart tariffs offer a lower electricity rate between 2:00am and 6:00am each night. Ohme's smart charging software automatically schedules charging into the cheapest periods of any tariff, so drivers simply plug in and set when they need the vehicle to be ready. Using Energia's EV Smart Drive charging rate, the 69.9 kWh battery of a Leapmotor C10 would cost less than €9 to charge from empty to full.*
Stephen McGrath, Brand Manager of Leapmotor Ireland, commented: “Taking the leap to electric should feel simple from the very first day. Our customers already get premium specification and a six-year warranty as standard, and now they can have a smart charger at home and a low overnight rate to run their new car on, sorted through their Leapmotor dealer. It is another practical reason to 'Take The Leap', and we’re delighted to be doing it alongside two partners as well established in Irish homes as Energia and Ohme.”
Andrew Dunne, EV Product Manager at Energia, said: “With Energia's low off-peak charging rates and Ohme's award-winning chargers, this is a great collaboration to give Leapmotor customers the best home EV charging experience possible.”
Charlie Mainwaring, Head of Distribution Sales at Ohme, added: “Ohme is committed to ensuring that nobody is left behind in the e-mobility transition. This is a perfect opportunity for drivers to access the benefits of low-cost charging with Ohme and Energia to enjoy the reduced running costs of an EV.”
The offer is available across the Leapmotor range: the T03 compact city car (from €18,950), the B05 C-Hatchback (from €28,998), the B10 compact SUV (from €32,984; B10 Hybrid EV from €36,995) and the C10 large family SUV (from €38,995; C10 Hybrid EV from €45,420). Prices include SEAI grant and VRT rebate where applicable and exclude metallic paint and delivery charges. Leapmotor's Hybrid EV models are driven solely by their electric motor, with the 1.5-litre petrol engine acting only as a generator to recharge the battery, so they too can be charged at home on the Ohme ePod.
Alongside the free home charger, every new Leapmotor comes with a 6-year/unlimited mileage warranty, and customers can also avail of 3.9% APR Finance (HP and PCP), Free Metallic Paint and a €1,000 Energy Credit (valid until 28/02/2027).
As the newest EV brand on Irish roads, Leapmotor is redefining the market with its “Value Without Compromise” philosophy, delivering premium technology and high-end specification as standard, with no hidden extras. Supported by a trusted Gowan Auto network nationwide, customers are guaranteed peace of mind across both Sales and Aftersales.
