The rally brings top-class national motorsport competition to the roads of Carlow and Kilkenny, featuring three closed-road tarmac stages each run three times, nine stage runs in total, in a compact, spectator-friendly format.

The 2026 event carries major championship status, counting as a round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship, the Dacia Sandero Challenge Cup, the Motorsport Ireland Junior Rally Series, and the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup Ireland, making it one of the most significant rallying events of the year in the region.
This Sunday, we will have the Opel Mokka GSE on display at the Carlow Rally, and it's unlike anything Opel has produced before. As the fastest all-electric road car in the Opel range, the Mokka GSE delivers a peak output of 280hp and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
